Detailed Circular for the Academic Year 2013-2014

As this academic year 2012-2013 comes to an end, I would like to bring to your notice certain matters regarding the completion of this year’s work and preparations for the coming year.


The school will close for Summer vacation on Friday, 22 March 2013 and will reopen on Saturday, 1 June 2013 for students from classes I to X and XII.

Examination Results

  1. For Classes I to IV: The open House will be on Thursday, 4th April 2013 between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon. Parents can meet their teachers during the above timings.
  2. For Classes V to VIII: Results of the Annual Examination will be displayed on the Notice Board on Monday, 8th April 2013 at 10.00 a.m. Parents can come and meet the class teachers and collect the report cards on 8th April 2013 between 10 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. The report cards also can be collected from the school office between 8th April and 30 April 2013. The report cards of the students should be collected compulsorily. All fee dues should be cleared by 27 March 2013, otherwise results will be withheld. It is compulsory for the students to bring back the signed report cards to school on the re-opening day.

Transfer Certificates

Parents who wish to apply for the TC of their wards may give the advance information to their class teachers by Monday, 18 March 2013 and also submit the request for TC well in advance.

Re-Opening of the School

School will reopen on Saturday, 1 June 2013 at 8.15 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 10.30 a.m. in the school auditorium. Buses will ply at the usual time in the morning and start their return trips from school at 12.00 noon. It is essential that the parents of the new students attend. We look forward to seeing as many of our parents as can make it convenient to attend.

Issue of Text Books and Notebooks(16, 17, 18 & 19 April and 22, 23, 24 May 2013).

Issue of Text Books (Classes I to IV) on 16 & 17 April 2013 and classes V to X on 18 and 19 April 2013. Books will be available on 22, 23 and 24 May 2013 in case they cannot be purchased on the above dates.

Please remit the cost of text book at Federal Bank branches through the challan. Please bring the paid challan copy for collection of books.

Payment Towards Art & Craft Materials (Classes I to X)

The payment towards Art and Craft materials for the students of classes I to X should be remitted in the bank along with the amount for Text books and Note books.

Remittance of Conveyance Fee (Bus Fee) (16 to 19 April & 22, 23, 24 May 2013)

Students who avail themselves of the facility of the school bus must remit the cash in the school office. The school bus facility will not be available for boys of class X, XI & XII. Valid bus pass issued from the school office is compulsory while travelling in the school bus. The bus pass is not transferable. Passport size photo is to be affixed on the bus pass.

Bus fee should be paid in full in advance. The bus fee will be collected in the school office from 16 April to 19 April and 22 to 24 May 2013 (between 9.15 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.) Since the Government rules restrict the number of students travelling in the school bus, passes will be issued on the first come first serve basis.

Canteen Facility

Students are advised to bring lunch from home. However canteen facility will be available for those who find it very difficult to bring their lunch.

School Uniform

The uniform is as detailed below.


Class I-IV: Navy blue shorts, white shirts with half sleeves.
Class V–X: Navy blue trousers, white shirts with half sleeves.
Class XI-XII: Navy blue trousers & blue striped shirt.


Class I-VII: Navy blue pinafore & white shirt with half sleeves.
Class VIII-X: Navy blue skirt, white shirt with half sleeves, navy blue sleeveless jacket.
Class XI –XII: Blue striped kameez with navy blue salwar and a navy blue jacket.

For all students: Navy blue belts.(to be supplied from school), Navy blue ties to be worn on Mondays & Fridays. No jewelry is permitted except small ear studs. Girls must use only black hair bands and clips.

All boys should wear white vests and all girls should wear petticoats and bloomers.

P. T. Uniform


Class I-IV: White shorts, House colour T-shirts, blue belt.
Class V-XII: White trousers , House colour T-shirts, blue belt


Class I-VII: White pinafore, House colour T-shirts, blue belt.
Class VIII-XII: White salwar kameez , House colour sleeveless jacket.

House Colour T-Shirts

The House colour T-shirts will be available in the school store and they can be purchased from the store during the days text books are supplied from the school. The cost of the T-shirt, belt and tie to be remitted in the school store (Melange’)

The School Uniform

The material for the uniform may be purchased from any Bombay Dyeing showroom, quoting the particular names given below.

  1. ‘Winstar’ for the boys navy blue shorts / pants and for the girls’ skirts.
  2. ‘Princy’ for the boys’ and girls’ white half sleeved shirts.
  3. ‘Winstar’ for the boys white PT shorts / pants and girls’ white pinafore.

You may stitch the school uniform from any tailor of your choice. However parents of new students may contact the following tailoring shops for the pattern.

Class I – V (boys): With the blue uniform, black leather shoes /Black ‘Action Shoe – Synergy’ with Velcro strap / Bata Scout.
Class VI–XII (boys): Black leather shoes with laces/‘Action Shoe–School time’ with laces/Bata Scout.
Girls may wear black half shoes with buckles / Action shoes (Belle)/ Bata (Ballerina).


It is compulsory for both boys and girls to wear Navy Blue socks. White socks with PT uniform.

Ankle socks are not permitted.

For P.T. White Canvas Shoes and White Socks must be worn by boys and girls. Please see that the black shoes are polished every day and whitener is used to clean the white canvas shoes.

On rainy days black Sandak sandals can be worn by both boys and girls.

If the correct uniform or shoes cannot be worn on any day, it is essential that a letter be sent by the parent to the class teacher.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Swimming is compulsory for students of Class I, II, III, IV & V.

Yoga is compulsory for students of Class I to V. The following optionals are available in the school. Students can choose one of the optionals in their category. The child may give his first choice and second choice to his / her class teacher. One of the choices will be allotted to the child.

Class I & II: Karate, Paper Craft, Classical Music, Dance, Western Music, Keyboard
Class III & IV: Karate, Roller Skating, Paper Craft, Classical Music, Dance, Bongo Drums, Keyboard, Western Music.
Class V to VII: Karate, Roller Skating, Drums, Violin/ Classical Music, Guitar, Cookery and Needle Craft, Western Music, Oil Painting, Aerobics and Dance.
Class VIII: Art, Dance, Graphics, Western Music, Eastern Music, Aerobics and Dance.

Special Classes

Class X and XII will have special classes from May 2nd to 24th May 2013. Details regarding this and the conveyance provided by the school will be sent through the students.

Inter House Competitions

The details regarding the Inter House competitions to be held at our school will be circulated to all the students in the class. Parents are to go through the details and prepare them as per their choice. The details will also be put up on our school website.

Fee Payment Through Internet

The payment of school fees can be made through internet. Those who desire to remit the school fees through the Internet may approach any branch of Federal Bank for the opening form and Fednet application forms. They may access the relevant page at the Bank’s website –

B’day Sweets

It is not necessary for students to bring sweets to school on their birthday. However it is to be remembered that sweets with plastic wrappers are not to be sent to school. During the next academic year if parents send sweets with plastic wrappers, the sweets will be sent back.

We have laid particular emphasis on group activities, interaction between the students and on cleanliness. The importance of wide reading and language improvement has to be constantly kept in mind in the context of the CBSE syllabus and for improving communication skills. Please encourage students to read a number of books during the holidays instead of spending their time in front of the Television, Computer or play station.
