STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME 2024

Nine students from Rajagiri Public School participated in the student exchange programme organised by Hwa Chong Institution in Singapore. The primary objective of this initiative was to facilitate cultural exchange and foster academic cooperation between the two esteemed educational institutions. Throughout the exchange program, the students were engaged in a series of structured educational activities. These included attending sabbaticals and cultural workshops organized by HCI. Noteworthy among these activities were opportunities for students to learn traditional Chinese instruments and engage in the art of Chinese calligraphy, alongside their counterparts from the host institution. The students were accompanied by the principal of Rajagiri Public School, Ms. Ruby Antony, whose guidance and supervision ensured the smooth execution of the program. Her presence served as a beacon of leadership and support throughout the programme. The students who participated in the exchange program were: Arya Sajan , Nathalia Shine , Mia Miriam Sojan , Joan Joe Thomas , Diya Mariyam Chirayil , Tamanna Joseph , Geojan Paul , Rohith AA and Joseph Antony Joby. In addition to the academic components of the program, the students had the privilege of experiencing Singapore’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant city life. Guided tours were organized to prominent tourist attractions, such as Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Bird Paradise and Sentosa Island. They experienced the diverse cultural landscape Singapore has to offer. The student exchange program yielded significant benefits for both the participants and the respective educational institutions. Remarkably , it served to broaden the academic horizons of the students, exposing them to new perspectives and methodologies in learning. It not only broadened the students’ academic horizons but also enriched their understanding of different cultures, fostering friendships and creating lasting memories.

Bonjour France!! An adventure of learning and exploring  – Rajagiri Public School- 13th – 23rd May 2024

 

In an effort to provide a comprehensive learning experience beyond the classroom, the students of grades 6-10, Rajagiri Public School embarked on an enriching educational tour to France for 10 days, with their French teacher accompanying them. This tour was meticulously planned to offer a blend of academic enrichment, cultural immersion, and personal growth. One of the highlights of the tour was the French language training at the prestigious Alliance Française de Normandie. This training not only enhanced their linguistic skills but also boosted their confidence in communicating in French.Accommodation with host families provided the students with an authentic glimpse into French daily life. This arrangement allowed them to experience French culture firsthand, practice their language skills with native speakers, and develop a deper understanding of the country’s customs and traditions. The students adapted well to their new environments, showcasing remarkable independence and maturity..Our itinerary included visits to iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the pyramid of the Louvre Museum, l’Arc de triomphe, the church of St.Joan of Arc, le Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Culinary experiences were also a key part of the tour. Students relished various French delicacies, enhancing their appreciation for the country’s rich culinary heritage. They engaged with locals, which further enriched their understanding of French society and etiquette. joining forces with other school groups during our tour further enriched the experience. Interacting with peers from different backgrounds fostered a sense of camaraderie and team spirit among the students. They collaborated on group activities, shared insights, and supported one another, building lasting friendships. This collective experience highlighted the importance of teamwork and mutual respect, which significantly contributed to their personal and social development. The tour proved to be an amazing learning experience.
