INTERACT CLUB INSTALLATION 2023

The ceremony began with a prayer to the almighty and Welcome by Christine Elizabeth Jason of class XI.The Secretary’s report along with a PowerPoint presentation on the activities of the year 2022-23, was presented by Jenifer Sue George. The strides made by Interact Club 2022-23 ranged from stall collections to the ‘Save the book’ campaign. The experiences of a few interactors were shared via video in which they described their journey with much gratitude for the opportunity presented to them. Karen Teddy Vadakkan, President Interact Club 2022-23, gave the Presidential Address, in which she expressed her thanks to all those who made last year a tremendous success and mentioned how the Interact club helped mould them into better human beings and inspired the gathering to be the reason people believe in goodness. She then was presented with a Momento by Rtn. Aravind PS (Chief Guest). Liya Sara Philip introduced the new President of the Interact Club, Joan Liz Joe, listing her top achievements. Consequently, Karen Teddy Vadakkan installed Joan Liz Joe as New President by adoring her the collar, the symbol of office, affixing the lapel pin and bestowing her with the gavel and charter. Joan Liz Joe, then, installed Karen as Immediate Past President. Joan Liz Joe further delivered her acceptance speech filled with dedication to making this year a success. She then installed the office bearers for the year 2023-23. The Project Launch was done by Secretary, Anagha Unnikrishnan. The projects of the year 2023-24 included, “Mastering my Menstruation” aimed at creating awareness about menstruation, “Understanding Self in school” to promote meaningful sex education, “Donate blood, Save lives”, a blood donation and awareness drive, “Don’t judge a disability by its visibility” for International Day of persons with disability to name a few.

Rtn. Aravind PS, Chief Guest gave the ‘Message by Chief Guest’ in which he congratulated the Interact Club 2022-23 for their incredible efforts, and wished the best to Interact Club 2023-24, at aiming to match and outperform previous year’s success. He stressed the importance of meaningful and selfless service and characterized interactors as those who are friendly, caring and those who help others. He also applauded the smooth conduct of the ceremony. Felicitations given by Rtn Anoop Menon highlighted the rotary motto ‘Service above Self’, urging students and interactors to be aware of the needs and happenings of our community. He also introduced the SMILE initiative. Rtn Jyotish Prakash specifically applauded the teachers and non-teaching staff’s efforts.  Principal Ruby Antony praised the team on the mind-blowing projects lined up for the coming year and the dedication of the interactors. She then congratulated the introduction of new district representatives. The district representatives, Juven Joss Jebin and Neha Anoop were introduced to the gathering. The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Esha Anna Jaison followed by the National Anthem
