Rajagiri Public School proudly hosted the Rajagiri Model United Nations (RMUN) 2024, a prestigious two-day event that took place on the 27th and 28th of September, with an inaugural ceremony on the 26th at 4:30 pm. The conference aimed to foster diplomatic dialogue, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving among the participating delegates. The event commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony, which was graced by the honourable Dr. Ramachandra Rao, the chief guest, along with Principal Mrs. Ruby Antony. Dr. Rao delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the importance of youth engagement in international diplomacy and the need for global awareness. Our Principal,Mrs. Ruby Antony ,also spoke on the importance of teamwork and highlighted the need for the delegates to be proactive and quick on their feet. The faculty coordinator, Mrs. Binny Verghese also addressed the students, providing them with guidance for the upcoming conference. The Secretary-General, Liya Sara Philip, as well as the Director-General, Rhea George, set the tone for the conference with their addresses to the delegates, encouraging them to be open-minded and solution-oriented throughout their discussions. The RMUN 2024 featured a total of six committees, each deliberating on pressing global issues. These included the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW), The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) and The United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Each committee was composed of passionate and well-prepared delegates who showcased exceptional knowledge and diplomatic skills throughout the sessions. The conference saw intense debates, collaborative resolutions, and active participation from around 300 students representing various schools across the region. The committee sessions were marked by rigorous discussions and the passing of well-thought-out resolutions. The conference concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony on the 28th of September, reflecting on the two-day event’s success and commending the delegates for their hard work and dedication. The awards ceremony followed, recognizing the outstanding performances of the delegates that were most diplomatic and verbal mentions for other promising delegates. Overall best delegation was secured by Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar while the runners up trophy went to Campion school.

Our school participated in a HARVARD MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2024 at Bangalore and won the following awards
